Dear Parents and Carers

Year Six students will be involved in a surf awareness program at Maroochydore Beach as part of our Physical Education Program at the Kuluin School. Qualified lifeguards and Maroochy Surf School instructors will assist with the program. Throughout the program students will gain knowledge and skills in the surf. Activities include: surf awareness, surf skills, body boarding and surfing.

The Surf Awareness Program consists of 4 lessons over a 4 week period which will commence on Friday 12^th November and concludes on Friday 3^rd December 2021. The activities will be held in the morning session. The cost is $51.00 per student which covers transport and lesson fees. The buses will depart at 8:50am sharp and will return to school at 11:00am. All students should assemble in the senior under cover area at 8:40am to be marked off on the roll.

All students must have this permission form and the Maroochy Surf School participant waiver completed prior to participating in the surf skills program. If your child is not participating, please inform the school in writing.

Time	Bus depart Kuluin SS at 8:50am sharp and return to school at 11:00am

Equipment Requirements	Students to wear togs or board shorts, rash shirt, hat and shoes Students need to bring their water bottle and towel to the beach Apply sunscreen before school so that it is effective down at the beach
